The Daughter of Darkness

 The elixir dark, 

Where all I see is nothingness

Where souls are trapped, lost

The dark devours

Those it catches. 

Where my fears and mistakes

Keep yawning beneath me

The abyss calls me saying

"I too, know fear 

And suffering, here

It's just me and your fears

Your poor, weak, feeble heart

Has seen dangers foist. 

You're just made 

Of flesh and failure. 

The darkness knows, accepts

All your contemptible weakness."

She welcomed me

In the cold darkness, 

Handing me, broken hearts

To feed upon. 

"Sleep tight

My angel of the dark, 

Daughter of the dark, 

My salvation", she said, 

As she took away my heart

Leaving me alone

In the corner, in the dark.
